We are not always there when you call but we are always on time. Me-saj and Jason talk politics in Ones and Zeros. But sleeping disorders can’t hold them back from discussing Bryan Thomas’ new album 1369 Lights. In this raw impromptu talk with Bryan they chew the fat about his "new band", race and more. Ralph Ellison would be proud of this one folks. Songs featured in this episode: Digital, Jennifer, Lights, and Kick all by Bryan Thomas Congratulation to the Newlyweds
"Ah," I can hear you say, "so it was all a build-up to bore us with his buggy jiving. He only wanted us to listen to him rave!" But only partially true: Being invisible and without substance, a disembodied voice, as it were, what else could I do? What else but try to tell you what was really happening when your eyes were looking through? - Ralph Ellison, Invisible Man Special Thanks to : Look Out Barbados darrenkeith Genesis J.

Barbados was fun but now its time to get back to the daily grind. Me-saj and Jason reflect on their time on the lovely island and score an interview with Flickr.com friend Look Out Barbados. Hear their wild antics while they chop on one of Barbados' signature dishes: Dolphin and Flying Fish and travel around the island driving on the wrong right side. The toilet bowl may flush in the opposite direction but they will not forget the magical time they had on the island all while enjoying the sounds of the island. "And we have a wonderful surprise tonight. This is something many of us thought we wouldn't see again. Entering back into the Podcasting arena, after taking a two-month hiatus is the ever-popular Halfshow. But the question on everyone's mind tonight, is "Do they still have it?" There has been debate, rumor, and great speculation as to whether or not this team still has what it takes to deliver top entertainment. In the preliminary rounds there seem to be some hiccups in their performance, but there was still the grace and potential of what they are known to be. Practice has been steady, intense, and grueling to get back on track for the hosts Jason and Me-saj. ... but does practice really make perfect? It all comes down to this moment. Practice means nothing if everything comes to nothing. It's not the expedition but the actual grind that makes or breaks a podcast. This is what these games are all about. There are contenders, there are champions, there are the fallen, and then there are legends that rise from the ashes. Tonight we find out just where The Halfshow lies." ~Justyn Thomas~ Bernie Mac: Oct 5, 1958 - Aug 9, 2008 Isaac Hayes: Aug. 20, 1942 - August 10, 2008 Your Half :

Geraldo Rivera was so inspired by this argument with Bill O'Reilly that he wrote a book entitled "His Panic". Obviously a play on words referring to illegal Hispanic immigrants in America and the fear (or "Panic") of the growing Hispanic population. The immigration argument has become somewhat cliche on the campaign trail. However, my personal feelings on the topic are mixed. While I do believe that it is imperative that the U.S. document the entry of immigrants into this country for, among many other reasons, safety purposes, we cannot let one terribly unfortunate situation become an excuse to incriminate an entire group of people. I have always found it a point of irony that we live in a "free" world with manmade boundaries. It's about time to start holding hands across these borders and support cultural, political, and economic unity. How can we let an imaginary dotted line traced out by centuries of wars and obsolete treaties dictate how a fellow human being should be treated?
This is the link to Rivera's ABC interview https://abcnews.go.com/GMA/WaterCooler/story?id=4339477 . I would like to know your thoughts.
Peace,
Mesaj

Associated Press Tuesday, February 5, 2008 NEW YORK -- On a day for jumping and whooping it up, Michael Strahan showed the throngs of jubilant fans just how it's done, New York Giants style. The star defensive end fired up his team -- a wildly improbable NFL champion -- with a leap that he calls "stomping you out." And with that, Strahan jumped skyward on the podium at a Super Bowl rally Tuesday, lifting his knees to his shoulders. "We would like to extend this to every other team in the NFL and particularly for the last team we defeat ... Read full story Category:News

(our favorite place even though they're stingy on the ice cream) I got a chance to take some pictures of Jeff Foxx, Shailas, Raqiyah, and special guest Sommore who will play at Carolines on Broadway Jan. 18-20. My brother came into town and we went to go see Paul Mooney at Carolines! Paul has toned down from the days of whitening his teeth by saying the word "Nigger" but that was just one word, he is still on his game, profound, racy and damn funny. "I always drop in some history." says Mooney. "It's knowledge. There's always a message in my comedy and you may not get it that night – it's like time bombs. It'll get you a week later. You'll understand." The other comedians were funny as well. Hostess Robin Montague was a funny ear full and new comer Maronzio Vance's comedic timing was uncanny. All in all it was a real treat. Paul, Robin, Maronzio, and Carolines thanks for the laughs. Category:News
